On January 2nd, 2013 this world lost a truly wonderful man, when the Lord called Sam Henke to his eternal home. Sam was a loving husband, caring brother, loyal son, and legendary friend. He was a man who displayed deep care for others and lived with exuberance, cherishing each precious moment of life.
The Kubb Championships presented by Norman’s All-Stars are held each year to honor the memory of our dear friend. The event organizers encourage each participant to enjoy this day to the fullest and to treasure the time spent with good friends. In doing this we honor Sam’s memory and encourage each other in the hope of our blessed reunion in heaven.
In loving memory of Sam Henke - Be Strong. Have Faith.
Why We Play 2018
Stephanie Smokovich, 34, recently celebrated her 5 year wedding anniversary to Steven, and is momma to 2 beautiful littles, Hunter (4) and Ruby (18 months). Her life has was forever changed when she experienced a grand mal seizure while sleeping next to her sister on the night of January 27, 2018. After being rushed to the hospital and undergoing several tests, a mass was revealed. A craniotomy surgery was scheduled for the 31st at Froedtert. Shortly after surgery complications nearly took her life, but by the grace of God He saved her. Tumor pathology revealed a cancer diagnosis, an astrocytoma (primary brain tumor). After months of therapies and second opinions, the Smokovich family has selected St. Lukes for her care, where she is undergoing radiation therapies and will continue chemotherapy for a year.
